i don't jim... but thank for bringing it up. i was looking for an idea for good radio signal since i am blanking out the antenna.

that would work. I/m thinking in the center of the drivers side of the windshield. :mrgreen: Actually with the soft top, you may be able to put the antenna inside the car.

Garmin makes a flat screen gps with satellite radio, I was thinking of integrating it into the dash. The problem is that it is set up to output to a headset, I don't know if the signal would be strong enough to output to an amplifier to run car speakers. The cost of the unit is expensive also. You could just get an xm radio and mount the antena on the forward part of the dash, or run it up and place it on the back of the rear view mirror.

Yes, but they don't stick out of the car 3 or more feet

The Sirius/XM antenna is about an inch and a half square with a magnet that would hold it on the trunk lid deck. You can get radios that can receive Sirius signals - all you have to do is install and subscribe.

Or Sony makes a stereo that can be controlled from a smartphone and you can stream pandora with no subscription. :D
