Looking good!
(Now you just need to ensure that the road in front is well illuminated to people can see as well as hearing you coming!)

Dude the only announcement I want to make is their car vibrating from the rumbling of me pulling up next to them!toplessexpat wrote:Looking good!

Re: V6 coming together...
Take that carburetor off and FI that bad boy. Looks really cool man.
Any reason you chose a V6 as opposed to a modern 4 cylinder? Other than your name being v6spider? stupid question i suppose.

Re: V6 coming together...
Hi Clark,
Well my v6 puts out over 300hp without turbochargeing supercharging or nitrous. And runs on pump gas. Plus parts are cheap as the 4.3l Chevy v6 is based on the design of the venerable small block 350 v8 so a lot of those parts cross over... many reasons why I am doing what I'm doing..

I painted the block flat black and the water pump and oil pan cast aluminum brake paint.

I like the idea man. Do you think you will have to strengthen the chassis at all? I have this image in my head of a 300HP fiat turning into a twizzler when you hit the gas pedal.

Re: V6 coming together...
Clark: I have strengthened the chassis. Also, this is my second build and had very little strengthening in the first version and there was little twisting. Just rust issues that were unfixable necessitating the need to find a new body. It's so light that with all that power and even p225/50/r15 tires there is not much hookup..that is the fun of it!
Lanciahf: the heads and block are cast iron. Whole engine is only 75lbs heavier than the 2L twin cam plus I moved the battery to the trunk.
