So here's the insides of the highly modified Vortec V6 I'm building.. a full roller valvetrain with Cloyes true double roller timing chain. Retro-fit roller hydraulic lifters, true roller rockers with roller tips , polylock locking nuts....

looks good..... i have not been inside an engine that had the lifters attached that way ... like to each other ....

It keeps them from twisting in the bore..the 87 and up vortec v6 uses guide plates to keep them from twisting..this block was pre roller lifter so these are after market lifters that convert a flat tappet lifter block to roller...
