Post by v6spider »

Here's the beginnings of a new lower radiator support.
Just have to do some tweaking to line everything up.ImageImage

Hey Rob

Nice work, but are you concerned at all about the strength of the cross member frame support? I'm sure you thought
about this. I would think the frame is going to flex at the front and rear end of the car during hard cornering.

Also what radiator did you end up fitting/ replacing the fiat unit was it for a v6/v8 car?

Hi Daniel,

I am going to add another top bolt through the frame and into the Cross-member which is reinforced by schedule 80 rectangular tubing the full length of the bottom. All the seems are welded in the cross-member as well.. I never had issues before with way less reinforcement than I do now so I really don't expect any issues. The radiator is 21" x 19" it was designed to cool a small block Chevy v8.. more than adequate for a v6..
Believe it or not the old stock radiator Will cool the engine no problem.. :)
