Having a few hours spare time and a CNC mill can be great fun. Like other gadgets at our disposal, it is easy to get carried away. Anyhow, i made this little socket box back in the late 80s.

Does anyone have a 3d printer? I would love to see if we could get a set of PININFARINA badges in italics for the fenders.

I don't know about 3D printing but there is a company that goes to SEMA called Billet Badges. They do one off or group orders on custom badges, my brother had them make some for his Lotus 7.

They are at http://www.billetbadges.com

These are the guys I was looking to use for my car.

Nothing at all - except the desire to cut the badge to remove the "design" piece

You can easily get them cut just as you need them.

I have access to a couple 3D printers. They're great for making things that are physically impossible to do by other means but you can't just pull a piece of scrap plastic and use it like you can with metal. The emblems are definitely doable but they need quite a bit of cleanup and smoothing before going on anyone's car.

Here's a phone case I made for myself a couple months ago. You can see the texture I'm talking about that needs to be smoothed.

Here is a custom windshield fluid tank cap. I designed and printed a new cap on my 3d printer and attached a spare Azzura badge. More parts to come.

Sorry to hijack, but on a side note: Can you or someone post a pic of how the under cowl windshield washer bottle system looks? Works?

looks great ... might just be the picture of the finished one ... but I like the detail of the drawing a bit more .... those mills sure are fun to play with ....

That's a pretty cool little holder. Coincidentally, my current project at work is making toolboxes and inserts that hold all the accessories for each machine.
