Are you referring to the odd scuffing around the signature on the closeup of the black spokes that almost makes it appear that the original branding was removed/rubbed out and another put in its place?

The leather on the shift knobs also appears to have condition issues that could be scuffing from poor packaging but could also be silica dust. Its hard to tell from the pics. Could just be NOS that has been well traveled.

So does Nardi repackage and re brand wheels from other manufacturers themselves or could these be knock-offs that got into legitimate supply channels?

If you ever had a real Nardi or MOMO products in your hands - you'll understand.
They are top quality parts.
These look like chip Chinese imitations from AliExpress or some similar sites selling counterfeit products.
But this is just my opinion.

I just received one. It's as good as any Nardi product I've ever seen.

It is entirely possible that Nardi is sourcing them in a lower cost locale than previously. They look pretty good to me in the pics.

Spent some time on the Nardi web site and could not find this exact wheel. The classic only appears to be available in sueded leather or perforated with the red stitching and none of the wheels had a raised red colored signature on them or the scuffed thin black treatment where the signature was located.

Nardi has a very good reputation to do that.

Just take a look here and compare - http://www.nardi-personal.com/index.php ... 80&lang=en

Same quality or not - look for yourself.
For myself - I already decided.
