Very nice job. I ummmmd and ahhhhhd over putting similar lights into the rear of my 2000 redo. In the end I decided my bodywork skills were too poor and went with 70s rear lights as a compromise.
Bodywork + engine work make this extremely impressive!
Great work.

Rob, really nice work on the car, and glad to hear it's running so well!v6spider wrote:Wow. I feel very lucky that Washington has no law for that in place. How much more are the hobbyist plates then the standard ones? I tell you that just marks every hotrod for the police easy to spot.124JOE wrote:yes its the LAW. if not stock need a hobbiest plate

To answer the WI plate question, either Collector or Hobbyist plates cost $200 for the first car, 150 per thereafter. But.....it's a lifetime registration, and given that most cars are looking at $75 per year (trucks 100 and up) it's a pretty good deal. Big difference between the two: Hobbyist can alter body and/or create replicas, Collector can't change body outlines (but can change engine, accesories, etc. Google WI Hobbyist or Collector plates if interested). One must bring in about 8 photos of the car when one registers the car. I jumped at the Collector for Blue 72, because I'd save so much on yearly renewals. Only restriction is no Collector plate cars can be driven in January (though one could pay $30 to do that....but why?). More info than you needed, I suspect.....

Interesting, in Washington they only have the collector plate option. And it is not a requirement..njoconnor wrote:

Not a requirement here in WI (either hobby or collector), but it's a way to inexpensively register a vehicle which gets less than normal use (AND is over 20 years old...forgot that minor detail.... ).

Re: The Road Warrior Lives!
im sorry yes its if you want to get a plate that dose not need registration every year
in WI you have 3 choices 1 a collector 2 a hobbyist and 3 a antique
the collector plate can only be for a car 20 yrs and older. and cant be driven during January.
the hobbyist plate is for cars altered far from stock.not sure how old it needs to be.
the antique plate is for 50 yrs and older.
I paid 180 for my plate
and plan on getting 1 more for my 500 sometime after its restored
if you moved here with your v6 and wanted a collector plate you couldn't have one
but a hobbiest you can.as for a normal plate you may need a inspection.idk
hope this helps.joe
