76 Engine Bay Wring Harness
Anyone have a good option for cleaning up the engine bay wiring harness on a 76 Spider with all those relays mounted on the drivers side. Would love to get it all out of there but as you know it's a lot if wires. Could clean it up by just rapping them again but that may not improve things much.

Unless you have to worry about emissions, all but 3 of those relays can be eliminated.

I've seen a picture where one has them mounted under the wiper cowl. Looked neat and tidy for sure.

I was concidering under the cowl. Im planning on placing the computronix there for a super clean look on the top of the motor.

The wiper cowl area is subject to rain and snow, not a good place to locate anything electrical. Move the relays to the driver side of the firewall by extending the wiring harness to the three needed relays.

I put my custom relay box under the drivers side cowling in a plastic box I waterproofed. It is also on a bracket that elevates it off the floor so water can drain underneath it. Of course, the only water it sees is when i wash it.

I was going to elevate and also place in a covered box. Car has not seen rain in a decade and snow we can dream here in the NW.

Shorter the wires are to coil the Better. Pat I would consider moving that coil closer.

Where did you get that fuse box and where exactly did you mount it?

It's a Bussman from Frys. Mounted on the inside of the drivers side fender, towards the front.

I will if the plug wires Mark supplied are not long enough. I was also thinking of a way to feed the wires from the front of the intake manifold. Do you have to worry about EFI with spark plug wires?
