new top

Hi guys i am one those guy that asks and never ansewr any questions (because have not much knoledge) I just had a new top installed and i was thinking covering the ribs covered by the canvas with some kind OF SLIT TUBING to protect the gluted canvas,any ideas ,THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

thats how they come from the factory
the tubing helps hold the top down

i got my tubes from a parts car
you can look at a junkyard
or ask the vendors

I got an other idea by you a 1/2 poly irrigation black tubing 50' for $8 the only thing you do split it

yes that will work
build a jig
drill a hole in a 2x4 and mount a razor blade in it to cut the slit
then push the tube in and pull it out the other side
