Interior rear view mirror

Interior rear view mirror
How do you remove the interior rear view mirror on a 79 Spider? I see no screws or anything else that keeps the mirror attached to the car. Thanks in advance.

Pull on it. Springs fit over a ball mount.

On the bottom of the mount where it is against the window frame, there is a small opening. Stick a screw driver in there and twist it, or pry it. The mirror is held on to the plate beneath by a spring/snap ring. Be careful to try to not break the plastic.

Thanks gentlemen. Have the mirror off and ready to reinstall. Hopefully it goes back on as easily as it came off.
