My 1971 Spider did not come with any trunk liner or carpet (though at least it has the original boards to cover the tank and spare).
It looks like the early cars had a rubber liner, but I was curious how others with early cars have lined their trunks. Original rubber, custom carpet, or an off-the-shelf carpet solution?
Thanks!

Re: Trunk Liner for 1971
The original rubber mat in my '71 spider was in pretty bad shape, so I went and bought a standard indoor/outdoor carpet door mat (from Home Depot or the like), and used the original rubber mat as a template to cut the door mat to fit. The door mat was a standard size, like 3' x 4' or maybe 4' x 5', in charcoal grey. Looks really nice! And it was $14 or so.
Cut the door mat a little larger than you need, proceed slowly, and then keep testing the fit and trimming until it fits right.

Thanks, Bryan, that is definitely a lot cheaper than the $300+ I have seen for the OEM rubber mat!
