In response to Clark's suggestion about swapping the carb for fuel injection.. the cam is too big apparently to run EFI and according to the manufacturer is not recommended. So I am sticking with the Carter AFB I tuned for the first version of v6spider.. 8)

Timing cover installed, cam end play adjusted, roller lifters adjusted, water pump installed, intake and carb installed. I just discovered a crack in my harmonic balancer, so I'll have to replace it. Real close to being done though... 8)

Not bad at all considering its twice the size in displacement.

Talked with my machine shop this afternoon ...with the vortec heads and four relief flat top pistons compression will be around 10.5:1... pushing the limits there.. ignition timing will have to be set advanced 15°+ with cam specs I'm running...
