I have an 80/81 F.I. spider that is in restoration. When it comes time to do the engine, what would you guys suggest as to getting me in the 160-180HP range with the Bosch system. Or do I scrap the system and go with carbs, cams and higher compression pistons? All advice is welcome
Thanks

Re: need advice on increased performance
youi'll have a hard time getting to the 160-180 range with the Bosch FI. You'll need to do pretty extensive porting on the cylinder head and give serious thought about compression, cams, big valves and engine management

Hey Mark,
Thanks for the reply. Did Bosch make a EFI computer later on that could plug into the L-jet system and you could program? The problem with the L-jet system is that it is a closed system and you cant change mapping.
Thanks

I'm not aware of a plug in unit for the L-Jet. I think most people have build megasquirt systems or something similar
