momo (steering) wheels

what are your experiences with these?

should this work on all momo steering wheels and/or will any 6 bolt configuration steering wheel do?

its a momo style hub i believe. thats what the sell it to attach to...

im not really into spending 200+ on a steering wheel when a 40 dollar one may look just as good. just need the hub to be interchangeable

I have a 320mm MOMO wheel and love it. I'm 6"4" and with the stock wheel, I wasn't able to shift between 1st and 2nd without hitting my knee and couldn't use the clutch without hitting the wheel. Of course it's a bit harder to turn the wheel in a parking lot. On the road, though, it's way more responsive.

i figure they are good steering wheels. because they are crazy expensive

A 6 bolt mono adapter for a fiat should work with any momo 6 bolt wheel. The AR one will work. Don't know about other 6 bolt wheels (ie other than mono). Why don't you ask AR directly?

They weren't positive, or rather they didn't want to assure me it would and have it be off.
I just think I could find momo wheels at a different vender for less. I think AR is amazing but I don't think 200+ is in the budget. I figured the hub would work with any momo wheel, was just wondering because of the steering column diameter. Just me being paranoid lol

the 79 and later Fiat hub will mount a Momo wheel.

I'm not sure I understand the issue here. You have a '74 and AR has a hub (or adapter) that will allow you to attach a 6 bolt MOMO wheel. If you're going to buy a MOMO wheel, you're going to need the adapter regardless of where you buy the wheel.
As Mark points out, if you have a '79 or later Spider, a MOMO is a direct replacement for the stock wheel - ie you don't need a hub/adapter.

well, first i was asking if most and or all 6 bolt steering wheels were interchangeable, with that hub specifically, then i said "screw it!" and decided to plop down two hundred bucks for a momo. but wasnt sure if all momos were the same shaft diameter. they have a few different series (and then some) and i know different companies will often times switch things around to be more difficult than it needs to be.

so no, no issue. just wanted more info than i needed because this stuff is expensive!

I wanted to get a momo wheel for my spider, but I could not find an affordable one on ebay so I got a 390 mm. Abarth wheel on ebay a few days ago. It need some restoration work around the spokes where the vinyl is a bit worn out. I was hoping to get more grip when parking since steering was so hard. Well, now I know the idler and gear box are leaking too, but I got the wheel anyway. I love it though..!
