Hi, just in the process of rebuilding my Fiat back together.
Just wanted to know if anybody had any help and pointers to save time and prevent niggly issues later on after door cards, carpet and seating have been put back in.
Rebuilding - help and pointers
Re: Rebuilding - help and pointers
Hi! You are farther along than I am. I havent started on the interior yet. One thing I have heard of peopl edoing is to put a layer of sound deadening between the floorboards, and carpeting.
Is this the type of ideas you are lokoing for?

if you need to remove the pedals, now is the time to reinforce the forks on the clutch pedal.

The clutch pedal has forks that the clutch cable attaches to. Sometimes these will bend so many of us have reinforced them to keep them from bending if the cable binds. Another maintenance repair is to weld an extra square of metal to the firewall where the cable comes through to keep the firewall from cracking. I did both on mine only because I used a racing clutch that requires extra leg muscle to work, but I have seen a firewall fail in this area with a stock clutch setup.
