On the 72 got all the tranny bolts out,no problem, drive shaft dropped no problem, two lower bolts on the starter no problem.
2 hours later,still no connection with the top starter bolt


perhaps all the steel lines make it a pain, but going home to button up the 80 after re-shimming and sanding high spots on the AFM. Will try again tomorrow. I have enough extensions to go about 10 feet if needed but the universal 13 mm just does not want to connect or stay on. Tried a small magnet in the socket as well...nope.

Man these cars can be frustrating at times. I'm still calmer than after I have to muck about under the drivers side dash for whatever reason..
The two things that I dread on these cars...clutch spring onto the pedal and the starter top bolt. Everything else is therapy really.
