Looking for a good/fair body shop in Ottawa RESOLVED

This is what happened on my 5 min drive back from the garage yesterday possibly due to the suspension issues I have been recently experiencing.







Anyone know a good person/location in Ottawa where I can get this repaired? Keep in mind this is not going to be a concourse repair. Are there some parts I can get to replace this area?

So apparently not It seems that out of 7 places I have both called and sent emails to, only 2 have gotten back to me I guess places are either too busy to take on new work, or do not follow up on the whole customer service thing. Makes getting quotes difficult however, makes it easy to figure out where to bring her

Wow, Jay, that's a lot of Bondo. Fender lip sheet metal repair sections are available from our usual vendors. Don't let your guys simply slap some plastic filler on it; it will crack and fall off like the existing job.

Maaco is known for inexpensive, lower quality paint work - never heard of anyone using them for panel repairs. Milano knows you and cares about the car - a better bet IMO. Joe patched and painted mine 6 years ago and I have no complaints.

I hear you Peter, I guess I am dealing with a time vs money issue. I am actually bringing the car into Joe tomorrow for their quote. So I guess we will see what we will see

Got my first quote back from Maaco (on Caesar ave). Two options were presented, #1) $600 all in for steel patch and paint whole fender. #2) $1800 all in for steel patch, minor repairs (bubbles etc) and single stage three coats whole car

Picking up car this afternoon to drop off for second quote, will keep you posted.

Peter, I owe you an apology. I saw Joe today and was given a lower quote and we both know they'll do better work To be honest I did not think I would be able to afford their work. Hopefully, getting it done at the end of the month Either way, very excited and well worth the wait.

No problem - I assume you mean a lower quote for the fender? If he beat 1800 for the whole car, I'd be pissed. About 250 should be right for painting any panel (i.e. the fender), plus the patch. Good luck with it.
