Paint my Rims Black?

Been debating this since I picked up the Spider. The rims that came on the car are in good but not great shape. I like the slight gold tint to them, but was wondering about painting them black with some Plasti-dip. That way if I ever want to go back I can simply peel back the plasti-dip. I think it would give the car a slightly more sporty look, what do you think?

Black would look much better with the chrome rings on the white car.

I painted mine black and I think look ok. Probably not for everyone. Actually I'm thinking of doing something different. But maybe you can get an idea of what it will look like from this pic.
