Georgia is an odd state geographically. The southern part, which was in extreme drought a few years ago, is flat as a pancke, hot ,and dry.The NE corner of the state, where I live is, mountainous and deep lush forests. We were down on rain back a few years, but not in extreme drought. The southern part is also very hot and humid. Here,we are rarely over 85 degrees, and get a good bit of snow in the winter. Its a little slice of heaven here, south Ga. not so much!
We lived in Albequrque NM for a while ,when I was a kid.We had the Sandia mtns there, but if you drove a little south you were in the desert.I imagine Texas has geographic extremes also? I know California does, but it is a much bigger state than Ga.
