Rains in Georgia

Here is some video shot this week in Vogel State Park here in Blairsville Ga. Vogel has been voted one of the most beautiful State Parks in the USA.This is a little meandering,babbling creek that runs thru it We have had some rain!!

Y'all have had the rain for sure. We could use some but not that much. I'm tired of replacing bridges and that would be enough to take the most recently built one out. We're y'all not in a drought 3 of 4 years ago that was pretty serious ?

Georgia is an odd state geographically.The southern part,which was in extreme drought a few years ago, is flat as a pancke,hot ,and dry.The NE corner of the state, where I live is, mountainous and deep lush forests.We were down on rain back a few years,but not in extreme drought.The southern part is also very hot and humid.Here,we are rarely over 85 degrees,and get a good bit of snow in the winter.Its a little slice of heaven here,south Ga. not so much!
We lived in Albequrque NM for a while ,when I was a kid.We had the Sandia mtns there,but if you drove a little south you were in the desert.I imagine Texas has geographic extremes also? I know California does,but it is a much bigger state than Ga.
