That photo was taken on an automated speed camera, and unless the radar is capable of detecting competition numbers I don't believe they would have made any difference. Actually, I've never been pulled over in this car for any offence, the only time it's ever been pulled over was by a pair of coppers who were more interested in what it was

My AC coupe also gets around with sponsorship signage and is an obvious competition car, but once again without any hassle from the cops. They've got their hands full taking the young blokes' hotted up street sedans off the road under our new 'Hoon Driver' legislation that allows them to impound cars found street racing, doing burnouts or anything other than driving as per the road rules.
I'm glad these weren't in force 30 years ago.
