throughout the race we where given clues to the next check point / leg of the race where there would be either a challenge ( go carting, me parallel parking blind folded while Steve Tamer gave me directions drag racing at a track ,ect .or a site seeing adventure personal car collection of Mr.Lingenfelter very nice , track time at Toledo speed way (where I lapped a Lambo) ect ect and lunch). we drove about 850 miles in 2 days from Detroit to Indy and back spending the night in indy for a nice diner. party . but before that we where driving down the road when the shifter came out in my hand , pushed the clutch in coasted to the side of the road where I think Steve may have feared for his life for a small bit as I had a nervous break down . loosing time meant loosing the race .it is a timed rally to fast to slow to each check point you lose points we lost about 30 -45 minutes before a few other teams stopped to check on us and one simply stated put the shifter back in place and drive as is until you can correctly fix it. we finished the race without repairs . however we did stop for parts just in case at my former co-driver Mike Bouse from 2012 house who had a parts car in his drive way and was only 2 miles off course easily made the time up with my driving skills lol

and just got word I finished 12th out of 65 cars

drag racing time slip in case you where ever wondering what a stock 1980 Spider 2L FI would do at the track
