so, just thought i'd show you what i did last night.

getting ready to put in a '74 1800cc reworked head with polished ports and new valve guides and new springs...onto my two litre block.

what you see is an unfinished work in progress set of crackle coated (painted) cam covers.... yummy. the major work is this weekend, and we plan to be posting progress pictures as the other work is processed.

Mark, you gotta stop equivocating.
Not that you invited comment Mike, but I'll bet they look better in place, without the camera flash on em.

yeah they do look much better in person. digital photography works great, most of the time...sometimes too good; but not always.

i am hoping that tomorrow night i can get the next step done and add some highlight.

i'm throwing a reworked 1800 head on a carb'd two litre. the block has already seen a 4-2-1 put on the exhaust side, and a 1800 intake and a brand new 32/36 Weber to replace the puke sick stock carb.

the "new" head has been ported and polished, and the intake side ground to the gasket opening. new springs, valve guides ... R-R-r-raugh!! Stock cams at this time...one step at a time.

this winter the intake manifold goes in to be matched to the gasket for further improved breathing.
