I'm just not feeling it. Looks like ten different designers each had one task, and each worked their task to the max. One did the hood bumps (why the creases?), one did the flip-up on the door, one was in charge of interpreting the swallow tail, one did the nose etc. Doesn't look cohesive to me.

FCA did not build this car for us. As was discussed in the unveiling, the roadster is a niche market and the new 124 is being marketed toward those who are "on the fence" with a hope to expand the appeal of a roadster. Borrowing from the old to sell to the new. We know that it comes with the 1.4 turbo engine and If the MX5 reviews are accurate... it should be a blast to drive. Im certainly betting it on that fact.
I personally will probably never be without a classic 124.... but there is always room for something new too.
