i knew there'd be a "keep it stock" post sooner or later...

i mounted one of these at the back of the center console, replacing the rear seat ash tray. Our legless back seat passengers are too busy hanging on for their lives without seat belts to be smoking back there... so we figgered the ash tray was useless.

For a long period last spring i had the perfect solution. I gave my 4 year old a ride and he used his booster seat. it has a flip down cup holder. I just left his booster seat there for a month or two. best 20 bucks I ever spent.

Hey Mike,

I tried your suggestion, but my beer won't fit in the holder ...

The memo said, "Due to concerns of corporate liability at the event, each participant will only be allowed to purchase one serving of alcoholic beverage." "No problem" I said, "I'll take care of it."

I set my bev on the floor where the seat and the console meet, which usually works fine (usually on pas. side). I am thinking of fabricating or buying a simple ring to secure the beverage, which would be supported under the side of the console or under the seat . The bottom of the beverage would still rest on the floor, but slipped into the ring so not to tip. Maybe modifying a drug store car cup holder in some manner???

This can double as a crash helmet when you have that head on collision with the tree

Does anyone remember the cup holders you could buy at the gas station that would hang on the window. The tab would slip in between the window and the inside trip piece?

This is what I have in my MINI, they work great I wish I had thought of it first.

The flat bottom slips under the edge of the floor mat. Easy to use and you get to keep the interior original.

Have a great weekend!

Here are a few options: http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductList ... ycode=3038

I almost bought the wedge style: 7th from top. It has a "leg" that gets wedged between the seat and the center console. Seems like a good one, and can hold some change too. I think Wall mart also has it, they carry bell products.

Gordon? Your first post here and you're talking about cup holders?

i'd thought that your first post would be something more profound.
