1982 spider -- slow signals when brakes are on.

Does anybody know why this happens?

Voltage drop due to bad grounds is most likely cause. Check the two ground pods on either fender, the pod under the driver's side dash, and the ground cluster at the driver's side rear tail light. Start by cleaning and tightening all the Fast-On type connections.
