1980 FI Garage find in Hawaii

Hey everyone, I just wanted to share an exciting find here on the Big Island of Hawaii...sitting for 8 years under a tarp in a garage...

1980 FI Spider 2000!!!

The owner, who's father was a Fiat mechanic on Maui, says the car was in running condition, but very rusty, when parked almost a decade ago.

Not sure what can be parted from the car, but if the FI system is all there, that, plus the extra drivetrain, would make it worth a ton in shipping charges alone, as everything I buy from the mainland must be flown to HI.

I'm excited to get a closer look in a couple of weeks.

and congratulation! This is a very rare find! The worldwide spider registry only shows 5 car on Hawaii!
One 80 Spider in blue metallic is already listed but: It was auctioned at COPART AUTO AUCTIONS in 11/2016.
So probably another 80 Spider on the Island?

Would like to read more details (VIN?) about the car to include it into our registry.

Let me know if you need anything. A few years ago I used to service all the spiders on Oahu that I could. I'm on Oahu and have 2-3 of just about everything, many parts from a 80 I bought for parts. a

Also a friend of mine who I got into Fiat spiders (my protege) now lives on BI on the Kona side and last we spoke he worked at the Harley Davidson dealer there. Eric Flemming is his name. He might be able to help out with parts and repair knowledge. He's also very good at upholstery work.
