Re: New Three Point Seat Belts
My '74 didn't have the factory 3 point mount, so I got some off a parts car and welded them in. Here's a picture:
Someone with a later car could show you a picture of the factory installed version, but they look just the same.

Re: New Three Point Seat Belts
So the factory mount is lower than mine. An earlier poster thought that was a bone crusher because of the angle of the belt over the rider's shoulder.

Hello Yadkin,
I've been researching on a good and safe method to install 3 point retractable seat belts on my 71 spider.
I like your work.
Do you have any finished pics?
I would like to have the belt a little higher as suggested.
Thanks,
Kevin

No the OEM are much higher than yours as the belts come through the rear seat back at about midway while yours are flush with the bottom.
The mechanisms mount vertically with the retractor guide exiting above the top of the support bracket.
Here are some more photos of the OEM seat back with the factory slots for the shoulder belts:

I have a second set of the brackets if you're still interested. Sorry for the late response, my job and life keeps getting in the way.harpdevice wrote:Hello Yadkin,

Hello,
Sorry for the delay too.
I’ve been working on a Volvo 164.
Do you still have the brackets?
