Hi All,
I have just purchased a Fiat 124 Spider 1982 from the US. Car was based in Washington DC and is in very good condition for the year. Was a one owner car with only 60K miles on the clock. Recently attended the Auto Italia 2019 Day at Brooklands in the UK and it was only one of 6 124's on show.
Looking forward to enjoying the car and the forum. A website I am going to use for parts is www.spider-point.com based in Germany, they seem to have all the parts.
Thanks, Joe
Purchased a Fiat 124 2000 Year 1982.

Welcome, and it's good to hear your experience with your Fiat from "across the pond."

Thanks Bryan,
I have been after a 124 for 20 years and seen a great number in the UK which are US Imports. I intend to use it a great deal. It is one on only 2 1982 Spiders registered on the road in the UK. It certainly attracts attention as they are very rare on the roads here. Being LHD is a RHD country is not as bad as it sounds and have purchased a RHD wing mirror from Spider Point to help. If you have any good US 124 parts places I would appreciate the links.
Thanks, Joe

Hi,
there are 15 UK Spiders from 1982 listed in the worldwide spider registry.
11 of them have proved registration plates with Suffix letter "X" (period 1 August 1981 – 31 July 1982).
b.t.w.: 370 cars in UK are known and listed which means 5th place in the worldwide "nations ranking list".
More details at: https://www.fiatspider.de/filebrowser/download/4151
New cars are always welcome. Please fill out the Spider registration form at:

Thanks a lot!
Bye, Ralf

Joe, the places that I purchase parts from in the U.S. are (in no particular order): Midwest-Bayless, AutoRicambi, and VickAuto (sponsor of this forum). I have also perused the website for http://www.middlebartongarage.com which is located in the UK and seems to carry a lot of Fiat parts. Plus they have nice exploded diagrams for the various systems of the Fiats, which is very handy.
I had a lot of business trips in the UK in the past, so I got quite used to landing in Heathrow, picking up a rental car (err, I mean, hired car) and then getting on the M4 to Reading, and everyone of course is driving on the wrong side of the road...
Cheers,
-Bryan

Thanks Ralf and Bryan for the information.
Ralf I took my data from this website https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/ based on UK Government registration data. Not very scientific and great to know there is a proper register, I will input my details.
Thanks, Joe
