I am a new member from Florida

I have had my 78 spider since 1984 and I am the second owner. It has never left south Florida in its life so its rust free. I had to replace the original engine about 8 years ago. The aluminum head in the original engine let coolant in the #3 cylinder and the car sat idle for over a year and the cylinder was shot. I got a good 2L engine from a rusted 79 . Lots of stories to tell. Later.

Welcome aboard. It's in the teens and twenties here today - so Florida sounds pretty good right now!

Too damned cold. I am heading out to Bass Pro tonight, to look for an insulated hunting suit, so I can resume work pulling my engine. It is just torture at 18 deg F working on concrete under the car.

But we are headed to FL ourselves next month, not sure for how long, but a few weeks fer sher.

Don't hurry down here. It's +1 C in Sorrento this morning. That's 34 F. It should warm up soon.

Ps. South Florida hit 39F last night. Right now (10:15AM EDT) its 49F. It should be back to around 65F midday.

It was 16F this morning here, now about 28F. I bought an insulated hunting suit at Bass Pro to be able to work in the unheated garage, and it has worked out pretty well so far!
