Re: Let's try to revive this forum
Welcome, TeeCee!
I'm always lurking around, trying to spark up discussion/education on this forum! It's more active in the spring/summer/fall months.
Try some searches related to your specific interests,...I've tried to title any of my 'pictorial' threads for easy search. Lots of discussions to derive info from on this forum,...
Don't forget to register at, and investigate, mirafiori.com. Spider info, literature, and a lot more,...
I sure we can help you learn,...and fix, as needed! Feel free to PM me on this forum, if I can ever help.
Todd Compton.

Re: Let's try to revive this forum
There is a tremendous amount of good history here, technical and otherwise, available through a search, or by being directed to a thread by the folks. I have found that people her are very willing to help where they can, if they feel they have relevant knowledge. The horrible sarcasm and derision that pollute so many other Forums (what comes to my mind is a VW forum that my son tried out and then immediately left, when he had a GTI, because of the abuse. Horrible experience). Unfortunately, and it needs to be said, there are also the inevitable conflicts that arise with vendor sponsored Forums. Many, many people have left for Mirafiore. It is unfortunate. Personally, I am comfortable here and find it very helpful and informative. And once one masters the ancient lost art of Picture Posting, it gets pretty good!

Re: Let's try to revive this forum
I agree with all that's been said above. We all have our differences, but I've found the posts here to be informative, free of any hidden agendas, politics, religion, etc. I participate in several online forums for my hobbies, and some of these degrade into arrogance, name-calling, intolerance of newbies, hypocrisy, etc. I have not seen that here.
I have been guilty of tossing in some jokes and jest, but it's all in good fun and sometimes this helps deflect the frustration that inevitably seems to occur when wrenching on a Fiat. I've learned a lot here, and I hope that I have helped some others. Keep up the good work, folks!

Hey TeeCee,
Welcome to our forum, glad to have you here. I am wondering though what you mean by "let's revive this forum"?
Why do you think it needs to be revived? We've been online non-stop since 1997, 23 years! We have almost 3,500 valid members, over 291,000 posts on over 38,000 topics. There are new posts in almost every category everyday. Every member is vetted and we work constantly to keep the spammers out. Just not sure why you think it needs to be "revived".

Re: Let's try to revive this forum
The only thing we need to revive is the dead photobucket links
It never fails - every time I search for an issue I have, I find someone that had the exact same thing and uploaded the solution to photobucket. Four years ago grrrr.
Anyways, welcome to this cozy little corner of the internet.
Cheers

Re: Let's try to revive this forum
Well said. The board is what you make it and without donations to keep it going, then it will fade away. Hopefully you’ll keep posting as you learn more and share with others. The wonderment to me of the board is the searchable database with an immense amount of knowledge shared balanced with new questions and ideas. Curious about your statement of wanting to “revive” but are now dormant.......Site Owner wrote:Hey TeeCee,

I started that because it just looked like most of the post were older post.
Didnt mean any negativity. I have already found a treasure chest full of information here.
Hopefully I can blend in with the family.

Re: Let's try to revive this forum
There are quite a few conversations on how to add photos to your posts. That’s the only difficult thing for most new members. Use the search feature to find what you want to see and go from there.
The “New Posts” option is a fan favorite, but use with caution as it has proven to be addictive for many of us.
