Purchased a 'project' car to work on with my son a few weeks ago. A 1980 Fiat PininFarina 2000 Spider. Really cool little car and I've been absolutely amazed at how many parts are available. Lots of questions already and really enjoying the tear down so far.

Hello and Welcome!
You've come to a great resource for vintage Spider maintenance and repair. Here you'll find lots of suggestions and advice. Some of it may actually be useful
I'd also suggest a visit to https://www.dcfiats.org/ DCFiats is one of the largest Fiat clubs in the country. We're not doing group activities during the lockdown, but I suspect everyone will be bustin' out in big numbers once the driving ban is lifted.

Hi Rick
Welcome aboard! There is an active (until a few weeks ago anyways) Fiat group here in the area. Website is DCFiats.org...and best of it is free! Hope to see you at an event soon.
Cheers

Re: Hello from Southern Maryland
Rick: Welcome! I purchased my '82 spider in October, and love it. As suggested above, I've found DCFiats very welcoming and helpful. Lots of terrific suppliers for parts--Auto Ricambi and Midwest-Bayless are very responsive with helpful websites, along with Vicks and Mr. Fiat, who support a range of vintage Italian cars. We love driving around southern Maryland--lots of quiet back roads to enjoy the spider.
