Anyone interested in Jazz?

Post by jacksplace »

I host a jazz program on NPR station KAWC. We stream on the net at kawcradio.org. My program airs on Saturday eves from 8 to 10 PM PDT immediately following Prairie Home Companion. The first half hour is dixieland. The second half hour is big band swing and the last hour is everything after that (modern, progressive, be-bop, the cool west coast sounds of the 50s, etc.)

Also, Seattle has the nationally known jazz and blues station KPLU, who streams at KPLU.org.

Gerard:

KPLU is one of my favorite NPR stations. They consistently air outstanding programming.

during the day, I usually stream WNJN (new jersey network.. npr) but I will have to check your show out tonight. I am not much on dixieland or bigband.. but I do like the more "modern" stuff of your second hour.
