Hi to all Fiat lovers from Tennessee

I'm the proud owner of '72 124 Spider, which I've owned since early 2010 after finding it on Ebay for $400. So you can imagine what kind of shape it was in when I got it. Like many such projects, it's still not completely finished, but close. With the current stay at home situation, I've re-energized and now making good progress towards completion. Currently working on the interior (which has caused me to stall in the past) I prefer the wrenchin' much more. But I'll get there! So I appreciate the pleasure of y'alls company and look forward to sharing in everyone's knowledge and experiences. Be safe out there!

Mine was in Manchester for its first two years. Right after I got out of graduate school.

Good luck on your '72, Retnavdvr, and it sounds like you're making progress. I'm getting close to finishing up my '71 spider in terms of mechanical and interior restoration, and all that will remain at that point is a paint job and a new top.

As for knowing the history of one's car, I also have a '69 that was bought new by my father, and coincidentally he picked it up from the dealer on my birthday that year. I even have the original (typewriter) sales receipt with the date of sale being my 6th birthday. So, I grew up in the back seat, and I still have the car. For better or worse, that car knows pretty much everything about me: girlfriends, where I lived, where I've been, etc. It's a good thing cars can't talk, actually!

Hi from east TN! I'd never heard of Thompson's Station, but now I know where it is. There are a few serious Fiat enthusiasts here in east TN also. Hope things go well for your '72 project. The BS cars ('70-'72, especially with the 1608 which I assume yours has) are my favorite Spiders.
