I've been told this is a rare beast: the outlet in the driver's footwell.
It is, I have also been told, an outlet for a service lamp, something, I assume, a driver might have incase of emergency. (Yes, yes, someone on the board already commented, "would not a flashlight have been easier?") What I'm wondering is if anyone has ever seen the actual lamp. Was it, in fact, every offered as an option? Or does anyone have a photo or info about it?

Re: The Unicorn - lamp outlet
The outlet is not so rare, as all early spiders will have them. The plug that goes into that outlet, and the "emergency" light at the other end, those are very rare. Find one and sell it on eBay and you'll be set in retirement.

Not a unicorn!! Dang it!
Thanks for the link to the photos. That cable lamp in a tin can...just made me laugh.
Where are the reproduction ridiculous, over-engineered FIAT service lamps for the rest of us?
