Pressing on with my interior. My re-upholstered rear seats have been waiting their turn being stashed in my garage. I re-covered the rear side panels (detailed in a different thread). I mounted those today using SS #8 screws with finish washers.
I stripped the torn black vinyl off the rear trim piece that covers the top hold down bracket. I re-covered it with the tan Corbeau vinyl I have. Again mounted with SS #8 screws and finish washers. It has been about a year since all the interior came out, I had to trial and error the correct order to replace all those rear components. I also had to remove my top since I had forgotten to first replace the plastic side panels that the folding top frame fits into. The best order of re-assembly (IMO) is:
1) The plastic side panels;
2) The rear bracket that holds down the bottom edge of the convertible top;
3) The top, loosely screw in the 4 mounting screws that attach the frame to the chassis. Then, work the back edge under the rear bracket. Fit and tighten;
4) The rear trim piece that covers the rear bracket screws;
5) The side panels;
6) The upper seat cushion;
7) Slide in the lower cushion.
