Im restaurating a november 1972 BS spider
Parts car...
Car got the doorcatch (dont know the right name) inside the B pillar with 2 crews and the small 6mm bolt.
So not the doorcatch with just 2 screws, but the same than a injected spider for example.
The door has got the BS doorhandles and the doorlock with the more square hole with the 2 screws below and 2 screws more above the lock.
So not the round hole seen in the injected spider.
Problem is that they dont fit together, the lock is about 2 centimeters too low to go inside the doorcatch.
So is there a door available with the round hole and the BS style doorhandles?
What else can be wrong with the car?

Re: BS Spider door question
This probably won't help solve your problem, but I do know that the door latch parts (both on the door and on the B-pillar) are in slightly different locations between the earlier and later spiders. I don't know what year it was when the location changed. I have heard you can move the latch mechanism inside the door, but that requires drilling some new holes and possibly some welding. In other words, not super easy.

Re: BS Spider door question
Thanks for replying.
I have seen some pictures of a door with the round hole for the lock together with the early style doorhandles.
So it looks like i need a new set of doors..
Anybody: sounds familiar?
