I just finished inspecting the undercarriage of the car for structural rust, and I encountered just these two rust holes near the shock tower of the drivers side. The floorpan of the drivers side has a hole near the front, so I was expecting to see more rust in that area, but how bad are these rust holes and what is it that's rusted through?
How bad/important are these rust holes?

That is the drivers side front frame rail and its mounting point to the main unibody so very important. Front suspension cross member is anchored to it.

Thank you. Is this damage something that you would say should be fully replaced, or could I weld in some new steel patches?DieselSpider wrote:That is the drivers side front frame rail and its mounting point to the main unibody so very important. Front suspension cross member is anchored to it.
