Hi,
We are renovating our 1980 2000. I'm looking for recommendations on springs and shocks. We don't plan to race or show the car. It has the double tube bumpers. We are keeping the 13 inch wheels for now. I've seen the sport springs on VAS which are not progressive. AR has progressive models. EBay has a Vogtland kit with kyb shocks and those see progressive. KYB seems to be a popular affordable choice for shocks. Koni seems to be the high end for performance. VAS has some others that are out of stock.
I haven't driven the car in 30 years, so I don't recall how good or crappy it drove with the stock suspension. I was also considering the sway bar kits from the 1985 models that were stiffer.
Would appreciate insights on how to choose. Thanks!

Re: Spring / Shock Recommendations
I own a 2000 FI and have kept it mostly stock. I have the 13 inch iron cross wheels, stock springs with KYB shocks.
I like the ride and handling. At age 66, I don't want a harsh or loud ride. I also kept the tube bumpers.
