Here it is as I bought it. The clear finish wasn't in great shape, and it was cracked from shrinking in several places.



I started with sanding, then tried some paint stripper, then back to sanding again.



Once the sanding was done, I added some mahogany stain to match the planned interior of my current '69 Spider project.


A bunch of coats of clear lacquer finished it up, and I think it looks great.
