Master tech, new to fiats

Hello, I am a master tech and mostly deal with Jeeps and offroad vehicles. I am a custom fabricator in suspension and tube buggies.
My wife came home with a 79 fiat spider basket case. So now i'm into Fiats also. Let the fun begin.

Now all you have to do is change all your tools to metric and you'll be in business.

Thought that user name would be appropriate, but working on this fiat is still much more enjoyable than working on any ford product,

Hello !

As an old mechanic myself, I can say these are much more entertaining to work on than any U.S. built stuff. They have there quirks and shortcomings for sure. I look at mine as a toy. I've changed some things and some things, I would never change. It would not be a Fiat with out is quirks. After I rebuild it's engine, I plan to look into changing it's clutch linkage to hydrolic this year and upgrade it's engine a bit, along with some further suspension mods too. - Jim
