So, I did it. I found one. How did I do it? No idea. After a summer in Germany with a friend, I was able to drive his '82 Fiat Ritmo Cabrio. I fell in love. I wanted one so bad but since I live in the USA and the Ritmo Cabrio was never sold here, the only way to get one was importing it. Only the 2 and 4 door Strada from 79 until 82 were ever availible (I own an 80). Well, I met a guy at a Fiat show in November. He saw my Strada and came running over saying that he had one. Well, turns out its a series 2 cabrio. We have been talking ever since and last week he emailed me. He was selling it. I threw the money at him and grabbed the keys. I am a very proud owner of a 55K mile Fiat Ritmo Cabrio. The car has ZERO rust, a mint interior and a perfect drive line. The electrical is a disaster but not nearly as bad as my Stradas was. I am very excited to have one of 3 Ritmo cabrios in the USA!
What a wild looking car - congratulations! What is the function of the filler plugs on the A-pillar?
I saw an article in a UK auto mag last year about a guy with two Fiats. One was a Strada with a turbo, I think. A zillion horsepower; a real sleeper. Hope you can make it to some East Coast shows.
baltobernie,
I have no idea what those plugs are for. They are on each side as well as the upper edge of the B-pillar. I just posted on http://www.ritmo-world.com to ask about a whole bunch of different things. I already have guys emailing me about the parts I need.

htchevyii,
I think that car might be Steve Fursts old cabrio. What I know is that it was all white, including the grille. I know the car was on ebay about 4 years ago. Other than that white one, there is an all black series one in oregon. Aside from those three, that's is (that we know of) in the US. Do you know who owns it?
Mark, if I can't fix all the electrical problems, you will see every inch of it.
It is a cool car! It's much happier now that I scrubbed most of the interior and clayed and buffed the exterior! It haddn't been washed since '04.
