My first time bringing the spider to a "car club"

I was very apprehensive, thought that the "bullet" wasn't good enough. Boy was I wrong.... there were of course pristine trailer queens there, but there were a lot of "works in progress"

However!!! I was the only Italian there. So much muscle, a cadre of TR7's and a bunch of old chromes.

About half an hour into it, I saw this little red car pull up and I could have sure it was a Fiat... can anyone guess what it is?

bingo... I thought for sure when it pulled in it was a 1500.

Didn't somebody use the body and put in a v8? I thought I read that somewhere.

The one with the V8 was the Tiger.
Kind of a poor man's Cobra. Originally a Ford 260 than in later years they ran out of 260s and put the 289 in.

Our cars seem to draw a lot of attention, no matter what condition they're in. I've taken mine to car shows just as a spectator and had people gathering around it in the parking lot. Just yesterday, I drove the 82 X19 to the grocery store and was surprised by the number of people that stopped to ask about it. I guess I impressed them by filling both "ends" full of groceries.

I'm amazed how much attention my little project car draws. I think it's because I actually drive it. I've never understood the "show car" trailer queen idea. Why have such a fine piece of machinery and never drive it. I think it's the equivalent of being married to a supermodel and never getting to....... well, you get the idea. I didn't wrench this thing back to life to stare at it in the garage.

In the last 2 days, it's been to a kids baseball game, the local water ice place, the bike shop, Auto Zone (of course), to name a few. Of course these are all "parades and special events" according to my classic car plates.
