Strange coincidence

Kinda a neat little coincidence regarding my Suzuki Aerio and the name Fiat. I know its a meaningless thing, but still kinda neat considering my recent involvment with Fiat through the Spider....

My car is being replaced with a newer model in the next couple of years. It will be called the SX4 (mine's the Aerio SX). I guess these will be rebadged as the Fiat Sedici with only minor styling changes.

Kinda like the looks of the Suzuki better, but it doesn't really matter cause the fiat won't be offered in the US (of course)....

I should be needing a new daily driver in a couple of years.. wonder if I can get the bumpers, trim, and badging from the fiat and install them on the Aveo?

The funny thing about the Aveo is that although it's a rebadged suzuki, it's not really a suzuki. It was made GMDAC factory read: (general motors DAEWOO automotive and technology ltd.) and was made basically by Suzuki in a daewoo plant. There are some other Daewoos that people are more aware of are the Suzuki Verona and Fornza. But anyway, sorry for the ramble. I'm a huge suzuki fan, but I don't like these rebadged daewoos, they seem to be riddled with problems.

Now, if you get the SX4, you should have no problem putting the Sedici stuff on it! that WOULD be sweet!

from the outside.. just looks like bumpers, grill, mirrors, side cladding, and badges...

that would be great, most people would never know what a fiat is.. the rest would be wondering how and when a new fiat got into the states. It would be great to be a "two fiat" household and have one of them a car I can drive all year without fear of rust.
