Tilt Steering?

Has anyone attempted tilt steering in the Spider? If anyone has any info I'd be very interested.

You can adjust the "tilt" of your steering wheel...at least down. I know that goes against the perceived "need for more headroom" that some folks might be worried about

. I lowered the steering column by adding some "spacer" washers to the attachment points onto the underdash support. For me it improved the steering wheel position significantly.

I'm also looking for something similar. The closest thing I could find was what PerformanceFiat calls a "Universal steering wheel hub adapter". The discription says it adjusts wheel Hi-low position.

That would be cool to have. I think I would like a steering column like out of a corvette that would be telescoping also. Let us know what you come up with. I know I have a hard time getting in and out as it is.

The 131s had a very simple height/angle adjustment with a clamp. It wouldn't be hard to adapt or recreate from the parts images.
