I was going to media blast the fuel tank when I saw the inside. Can this be cleaned?
I know Eastwood sells a kit to do the inside of the tank. I just need to know if it's worth it. This stuff inside is pretty thick.

Re: Fuel Tank
Dump a handfull of old nuts and bolts in there and shake it around with your favorite spirit.. I mean solvent. A pressure washer might do the trick too.
Re: Fuel Tank
best o luck getting all of those nuts out of that tank.
i wouldn't count them before i threw them in AND count them when i dumped them out. failing to get them all out again will be possible, and that knowledge will be with you as long as you own the car.

I have two tanks, I'll check the other before I go through the trouble of cleaning this one.
Re: Fuel Tank
Grady, I used a three foot length of heavy-duty chain. That way it all came out. Acetone is a great solvent and put plastic wrap around all the openings and tie or bubberband then so you can turn and slosh. There are three chambers inside the tank that you need media to slosh around in. The dividers only go up around 3/4 in height, so turn the tank upside down and roll the chain to where it can drop into the next chamber and continue till all are done. Probably needs to be done several times with fresh juice. If you can Hula-Hoop while your shaking, then you have something.
