Here is the engine compartment before without the critters but with their nest




Here is the engine compartment almost ready for the engine, you can see the rack and pinion steering on my fabricated cross member, the new spark box on the left side with new fuses and relays. The retained original components on the right side with the new throttle cable and map sensor toward the back.

One hell of a nest! Hate to see that critter! How does the rack hook up to the colum? The cross member looks terrific too.

Very nice before and after. And I am curious did that car come with that rack or did you convert that into there from a newer spider

Halg, what radiator is that? I see it's an AFCO but is it a stock one?

The rack came from a Brava. The radiator is for a Scirocco(reversed) I needed inlet and outlet on the drivers side. There is one more universal inside(stock spider) at the end of the steering column.

Why do you want the inlet/outlet on the drivers side? turbo car? AFCO makes one with the in/out on the passenger side. I am looking at one for the race car.

Remember all this gets topped of with a supercharged 1608. Supercharger on the pass side.
