Um, plug the leak? Serioulsy. either the resevoir is craked, the pump is leaking or the hose fell off. Those are about the only possibilities.

What year is your car? Early cars have a blue bag, while the later cars have a white plastic bottle. The plastic bottle is prone to cracking.

My car is 1984, How can I change the bottle or bag?
Re: Wiper's water reservoir
if its your pump leaking or not working. I did a mod to both my 80 and 81. From Ace hardware get a rubber bung that is conical in shape then drill an hole in the bung and insert a tube fitting inside the the bung. Press both into the bottom hole of your tank the friction fit works perfect and seals against leaks. You can then use any type of externally mounted washer pumps to suit your taste. This saved replacing two tanks and washer motors.
Re: Wiper's water reservoir
I did about the same thing as spiderjim on my 80 FI. Instead of using a rubber bung I removed the old motor and just re-used the round rubber piece off of it. Siliconed it in and stuck a hose through the center. Fit and sealed perfectly. I also cut the little plastic mesh screen leading into the platic bottle so the hose would go all the way into the bottom of the bottle. A old external pump from a parts car and my wipers are good to go.
