disgusted with 3-5 minute edited clips of 6-8 minute songs, followed by 30-45 seconds if unintelligent prattle... I gave up on FM broadcast a long time ago. I opted for swapping CD's for years until i was introduced to satellite radio.
i tried Sirius satellite PREPAID radio for a while, until i discovered that they could not go four days in a row without double repeating their paultry selections. and i am quite sure that i remember who i wrote the check to, yet every 15 minutes, they had to interrupt the "commercial free" broadcast to tell me who they were, and whose transmission i was listening to... like DUH
I can't remember? please explain to me how "commercial free" broadcasting can include reminders of other channel selections, names of
featured guest DJ's and the like. and why is it that there is only 36-48 hours of unrepeated Blues music available before repeats are mandatory? i think i have five times that in my personal collection.
in my book, commercial free means NOTHING but music. no self promotion.
so, yeah...
give me my miniscule 120 GB iPOD, and i will struggle with that for a while. at least i'm not treated like a 6 year old that cannot read the digital display to understand that who he just heard was the person singing the song. DUH
I am certain that there is room for DJ's ... just not in my car on my stereo. you are welcome to ride shotgun anytime, but let me figure out for myself what i wanna hear, heard or could hear.
