Even more Rota Wheels

Post by So Cal Mark »

the initial order of 4 x 98 Rotas is almost sold out, just a few sets left. I have one set of the 15 x 7 gunmetal colored wheels left.

contact me if you're interested in either the silver or gunmetal wheels. The next batch isn't due until early February.

Mark,
I plan on getting a set of 15's. But can wait till February. I was wondering though. Could you post the different choices there are? Pic's :P

currently the only two choices are silver and gunmetal in the RB style. They are available now if you want a set. You never know what might happen with the dollar in a few months :?

Mark, I have a set of those gunmetal Rota's, just got the new tires mounted to them. They look spectacular.

Unfortunately, they are resting in the back of my Cherokee, since the lug bolts that were on my car were too long.

I suspect they were installed by the PO when he put the other aftermarket rims (lil' 13's)...

Do you sell lug bolts in your shop? If so, how much, and how much to ship to Canada?

Love to see them mounted to the car, instead of just in the storage bags!

Thx

I've got the proper chrome lug bolts in stock. I use the bolts with a 17mm head so the socket easily fits into the wheel. They cost 2.50 each. I should be able to use a flat rate priority box to ship them to Canada

update;
1 set of silver and 2 sets of gunmetal still available. Rota is sold out until the next shipment in late January. The RB wheels in a 4 x 98 pattern are pretty limited. If you want a set, consider a deposit on a set if you can't get the wheels now.

Basic question: Would running larger than 13 inch wheels cause problems with the drivetrain, gearing or speedo?
It seems to me that the car was made for 13's.
What are the workarounds if any issues exist?
Thanks

Some came with 14's, but the o.d. of the tire is the critial factor for gear ratios and speedo. You can run a bigger wheel and shorter tire and still keep the same overal tire size.

I dunno, Im just an odd ball. I dont want the car to look to modern. And its not like Ill be changimg tires often. The car has a used set of bfg,s that I took off that euro car 7 years ago. They still look new. You know the car is shy and rarely comes out a the garage.

tire mfgs have publicly stated that tires shouldn't be used after they are 6 yrs old since they could experience sudden failure. I just talked to a guy with a street rod today that had a sudden failure on a 7 yr old tire. It was the left rear and let go at 80mph on the 10 fwy and put him into the guardrail
