Just wondering if it is possible to put a back seat in to an 84 pininfarina? if its been done before, and how?

andy.... i think you should get together with Lee Putman. sounds like you have a parcel shelf you are thinking of parting with. I know that Lee has a back seat set that he'd gladly trade for your set up.

the actual swap should not be that difficult for you. the upright portion is secured fairly easily, and the horizontal cushion is friction fit to the tub.

To answer your question - YES - a back seat (bottom & rear) will fit flawlessly in place of a surround & package shelf. The slots in the seatback line up prefectly for the seatbelt retractors & everything!

Can I have dibs on your rear surround & package shelf?

Actually i was just wondering about buying an 84 and then installing a seat. if/when i do buy it i will surely trade the shelf for the seat
